Ingredients

1/3 cup (40g) walnuts 2 tbs (30ml)extra virgin olive oil zest from one orange or lemon 1/2 cup (120 ml) apple cider vinegar 1/2 tsp (3g) sea salt1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper 1/4 tsp (0.5g) ground nutmeg 4 cups (800g) cooked brown Basmati 1/2 cup (75g) cherries or raisins 1 apple- cut into slices 3 stalks of celery- cut into slices 5or6 pale green celery leaves - chopped 4 sprigs of parsley- chopped.

Storage Condition

Always store India Gate Brown Basmati Rice in a cool, dry place - away from sunlight.

Preparation and usage

Pre-cooking: Rinse the rice thoroughly. Closed pan: 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice. (The rice may require slightly more or less water to cook depending on how hard or soft the water is.) Add 1 TBS of butter/olive oil/margarine; and salt to taste. 1. Bring water and rice to boil. 2. Cover pan with a tight lid and let it simmer for 22 minutes. 3. Remove from heat and allow it to stand covered for 5 minutes. For Best Result: Soak the rice for 30 minutes or more in lukewarm water prior to cooking.
